Privacy statement
This statement explains how Foreword Limited (“Foreword”, “we”) handles personal information in connection with this website and when you contact us. We follow the Privacy Act 2020. Our software is not yet available; when it is, it will have its own privacy notice.
Who we are
Foreword Limited is a company registered in New Zealand (company number 9447516, NZBN 9429053845443), operating from Ōtepoti Dunedin. Our registered office address is published on the New Zealand Companies Register. You can contact our privacy officer at hello@foreword.co.nz, or by post at our registered office.
What we collect
- If you email us: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message. Please do not send personal health information by email.
- When you visit this website: like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested.
Contacting us is voluntary. If you do not give us your contact details, we will not be able to reply to you.
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it has no forms.
Why we collect it
We use the information in your email only to read and respond to your enquiry. Technical information is used only to deliver the website and keep it secure. We will not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Who can see it
We use two service providers to run this website and our email:
- Amazon Web Services hosts this website. The website is currently hosted in AWS’s New Zealand region and delivered through AWS’s global content delivery network.
- Google Workspace provides our email. Emails you send us are stored outside New Zealand.
Both are part of United States–based groups. They store and process information on our behalf under their service terms, and we remain responsible for it under the Privacy Act 2020. We do not sell personal information or share it with anyone else unless the law requires or allows us to.
How long we keep it
We keep emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and meet our legal obligations, and we review them regularly so we can delete those we no longer need.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, change or disclosure, including access controls on our systems and encrypted connections to this website.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@foreword.co.nz. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and within 20 working days.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We will update this statement when our practices change, and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
